The Tier 2 mission, Interceptor, continues on the undead adventures of Operation Deadbolt, requiring you to take down a fleet of vehicles. We’re here to help you with this elimination by showing youhow to find and destroy the Mercenary Convoy in MW3 Zombies.
Where to Find Mercenary Convoy in MW3 Zombies
The Mercenary Convoy randomly spawns on the map, but it can generally be found driving near the main highway, where the Medium Threat Zone begins (red line as shown below.) Your best bet is Zaravan Suburbs around the 10 to 20-minute time mark. This appears to be a frequent spawn point. Just grab a vehicle and keep driving around the zone’s edge until you find it.
Once you are close to a convoy, Dobbs will notify you via comms that vehicles are approaching and that it’s “a good day for an ambush.” Now, the main thing you must look out for is three red-colored cars on the map. They will appear close to you, so be ready for action.
With all of the above in mind, I recommend sticking around Zaravan Suburbs during the later stages of your session. Remember thatDobbs will notify you once a convoy enters your vicinity. It’s also an excellent idea to join a squad for this quest, as it can be challenging to do itsolo.
You don’t necessarily have to get a vehicle for thisMW3 Zombiesmission, though having one makes it much more manageable. The convoy will nevertheless stop once you start shooting at them. At least, that’s what happened with my team.
If you still haven’t found the Mercenary Convoy, you may need to drive along the main highway for them to spawn. The area around the Mercenary Camp is also a good place. If you had no luck finding it, try again in another round to hopefully get a better result.
How to Destroy Mercenary Convoy in MW3 Zombies
To destroy the Mercenary Convoy in MW3 Zombies,you must get rid of all the enemies within the three cars and the vehicles as well. Simply shooting at them with an AR until they’ve been demolished worked for me. On the other hand, bringing a rocket launcher could trivialize the whole encounter. Ultimately, it’s your choice.
It will be an intense battle filled with zombies and mercenaries because it is in the Medium Threat zone areas. I suggestPack-a-Punchingyour weapons and having suitable gear beforehand to withstand the brutal attacks.
Keep shooting as long as you see the gear icon while shooting the vehicles. Each shot will get you closer to destroying the Mercenary Convoy. Once you finish that, the Interceptor mission’s last essential item will spawn.
How to Collect a Stronghold Keycard Dropped by Mercenary Convoy
ensure your inventory isn’t full before picking up the keycard! Someplayers have reporteda glitch where picking up the keycard didn’t count for them at all. This is one of the most likely causes.
You can find the Stronghold Keycard by looking around the destroyed Mercenary Convoy.It will be on the last guard you killed. If the Destroy Mercenary Convoy objective is still active, keep shooting the vehicles until they are completely destroyed.
If you’ve done everything listed above and still haven’t completed the mission, there is nothing you may do but replay it. Unfortunately,a few usershave indicated that it has taken them several tries for it to work, so do bear that in mind. Hopefully, Activision will eventually fix the issue in one of the upcoming patches.
