How to Get Secret Archetypes in Remnant 2 (Shh… It’s a Secret Trophy)
While Remnant 2 features easy access to the starting Archetypes, there are hidden ones players can also obtain. As you can guess from the game’s randomization aspect, they aren’t necessarily things you can stumble across. With the randomness heaped upon the game, players might have to take several runs through an area before they can find what’s needed. However, we have some information on getting thesecret archetypes.
Unlocking any of the below will awardRemnant 2players with the ‘Shh… It’s a Secret’ trophy/ achievement. Keep in mind that you cannot add a second Archetype until you have collected over 10 Trait Points. These also differ from the Gunslinger Archetype you get early bypre-ordering the game.
How to Unlock All Secret Archetypes
Considering how long it might take for the conditions to be perfect and unlock some of these, this guide is still a work in progress.
Summoner Archetype
This Archetype can only be gained on Yaesha. As you journey through Yaesha, you will see purple orbs floating around. This is the only Archetype that will require purchase to get your acquire, the rest of the items needed in the game can be found.
Shooting these will get you one Blood Moon Essence each, and you’ll need to collect 15 of them. Fortunately, these things are all over the place.
Its location will certainly be randomized, but every instance of Yaesha should include a Blood Moon Altar, and these will be a blue monument on your map. We found the below Blood Moon Altar by the Root Nexus miniboss, but it has also been found near theWater Harp puzzle.
Approaching and interacting with the Blood Moon Altar will bring up the shop-like inventory of what you’re able to craft. You’ll want to make the Faded Grimoire for15 Blood Moon Essence, 5 Lumenite Crystals, and 1,500 Scrap.Doing this will also earn you the Bad Moon Rising trophy/achievement.
With the Faded Grimoire in hand, make your way back to Wallace in Ward 13 andexchange the Faded Grimoire, 10 Lumenite Crystals, and 1,000 Scrap for the Tome of the Bringer.Completing that transaction will unlock the Shh… It’s a Secret trophy/achievement.
Alchemist Archetype
Stand next to one of the larger sewer grates in the Dran region of Losomn. A monster will drag you through the grate. You’ll wake up on a pile of bones, and killing the monster will get you the material needed for theAlchemist’sengram.
Invader Archetype

Use theDreamcatcheron the weird pod on Root Earth. Use the consumable you get to be teleported to a new area and fight an Aberration boss for the material needed to craft the Invader’s engram.
Explorer Archetype
Beat the final boss, Annihilation, to be given the material needed to create theExplorer’sengram. Considering you need it for the Engineer, this most certainly won’t be the last Archetype you unlock.
Engineer Archetype
Level the Explorer archetype to the max level to use the Fortune Hunter skill in the second N’Erud area to find the material needed for theEngineer’sengram. It will be somewhere near the edges. When I found it, it was near the Extractor area where you’d drop down a hole to get theNavigator’s Helm. You’ll have to be quick once you find it, as the fog doesn’t take long to kill you. However, you can take multiple tries at it.
Ritualist Archetype (The Awakened King DLC)
RequiresThe Awakened King DLC. You’ll find this in a cave in the second part of The Forgotten Coast area. You will have to jump across a pathway of boats to get to the cave area. In the back, an enemy performs a ritual on a pig that you can interrupt. The Ragged Poppet material will be on the ground at the back of this area. When you return to Wallace, it is used to make the Cursed Effigy engram.
Invoker Archetype (Forgotten Kingdom DLC)
In the Ancient Canopy area, you’ll have to pull a lever to lower the spiral staircase structure you used earlier. Doing so plants it much lower in the map, and you can now go down the middle to the very bottom of this area. Making your way down will eventually lead you to a room filled with sand. Stand in the far right corner between the two piles. In the right spot, you will hear chimes and begin to sink slowly. You will eventually wind up in a room below and can pick up the Old Flute item.
