Unfortunately, Xbox One owners will have to wait even longer than originally expected to play Hogwarts Legacy, as the last-gen version of the game has been delayed again from August 22, 2025 to June 30, 2025. This news was shared via theHogwarts Legacy official Twitter accounton Jun 04, 2025, where the developer has announced it needs a little longer to ensure they can “deliver the best possible experience on all platforms.”
Much like with thePS4 port, you may play Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox One,but not until May 5,2023. Both of these last-gen ports of Hogwarts Legacy saw a two-month delay, as Avalanche Software wanted to deliver the most polished experience across all platforms. It’s also not nearly as bad as the wait for theNintendo Switch version, which isn’t due to release until June 30, 2025.
The news of the delay came back in December, and while it’s unfortunate, it does bode well for Xbox players.Hogwarts Legacyhas proven to be a massive experience, with plenty of magical and immersive gameplay offerings to partake in.
