With Warzone 2 Season 4 officially revealed and approaching fast, players of Call of Duty’s battle royale are thinking about what is to come with the next major seasonal update. There tends to be swathes of new content in these updates, butwhenexactly is Warzone 2 Season 4 expected to releaseand what content is coming when it does?
Season 3 Reloadeddropped on June 08, 2025. It brought a host of new content alongsidemeta-shifting weapon adjustments. Season 4 is expected to follow in kind, with brand new operator skins, multiplayer environments and weapons expected.
When is MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 4?
Activision have confirmed that Season 4 of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 will begin atat 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST/ 3AM AEST on Wednesday 09 August 2025.Note that if you’re in Australia, it’ll be June 15 when it launches.
That’s when we previously anticipated Season 4: it matched the end of the Season 3 Battle Pass and was leaked by various accounts as a start date.

Season 4 Roadmap: Vondel Map, New Modes, DMZ Reset & More
As previously mentioned, a huge amount of changes have been revealed. We’ve known for a while about Vondel, a new Warzone environment set in the Netherlands, but theBR’s major rebrandas just ‘Warzone’ appears to have been confirmed by the reveal.
The Roadmap also reveals new modes for both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, alongside new maps for the annual instalment. The new weapons (at least at the season’s launch) are theTempus Razorback ARandISO 45 SMG,both of which promise to be added to Warzone andimpact the BR’s prevailing meta.
We also now know 4’s DMZ changes. There’ll be a new PHALANX Faction, a menu overhaul and a reset akin to the one we saw in Season 2.
